Our MES966 Emergency Light uses light emitted diodes (LEDs) for lighting instead of incandescent lamps.
Advantages of the MES966:
1) Our LEDs are rated at approximately 11 years of illumination. We give a Lifetime Warranty on our LED panel.2) The current drawn by our MES966 is about 1/4 that of a typical emergency light with two incandescent lamps. This means that the same battery will be able to provide light to the elevator for about four times as long, or you may opt to use a much smaller battery.
3) In the rare event that an LED burns out, 4 out of 6 LEDs continue to shine.
4) LEDs are very durable, and ours are soldered firmly in place. They will not break or come loose in shipping as incandescent lamps often do.
5) Can be used with either a 6V or 12V bell
6) Bright light! With the MES966 emergency light mounted at the top of the car pushbutton panel (6 ft. off the floor), the following light intensities were measured 1 ft. in the front of the panel and 4 ft. off the floor, using a 1.3Ah 12V sealed lead acide battery:
