I am a dinosaur!

I’m a dinosaur! I feel out of place in today’s culture. When I was young, I used to be able to go into a store and buy products made in America, knowing that I could depend on that product to have a reasonably long life expectancy. Things have changed, and I don’t like it! For example, several months ago I bought three little plug-in emergency lights (made in China, to be sure) from WalMart, took them home, and plugged them in. About two months later, I checked them and none of them worked! Also, they were made in such a way that you can’t change the battery! Nothing to do but just throw them away.

Another example – I had a metal leaf rake made in the US that served me well for many years. Finally it gave up the ghost, so I went looking for another one. I couldn’t find a metal one, only plastic ones made in China, so I bought one. Now I have to buy about one a year because they just don’t last! Sure, they have a cheap price tag, but when you average the cost out over the life of the rake, they wind up being more expensive per year than the metal rake!

Thankfully, there are still some vestiges of the old “quality” culture left. Last time I checked, Sears’ Craftsman hand tools were still made in America and had an unlimited lifetime warranty. Guess where I buy my tools!

Mathis Electronics are constantly striving to be a “Craftsman” type of company. Every printed circuit board produced is assembled in America by Americans. It is subjected to a rigorous functional test and goes out with a Lifetime Warranty*! Mathis Electronics stands behind its products with excellent customer service and technical support.

We, like Craftsman, do not pretend to have the cheapest sticker prices, but we save our customers money by producing a board that works right the first time and lasts a long, long time. Last year we produced over 38,000 boards and had only 11 boards come back for warranty service! That’s a success rate of 99.97%!

You’ve heard it said, “Put your money where your mouth is.” We at Mathis have put our lifetime warranty where our mouth is, so you can be assured that you are getting a top notch product when you buy from us.

If you have not yet tried Mathis, I can promise you that if you try us, you will like us!

* The only exception to the lifetime warranty is for boards that require no-lead solder for ROHS compliance. These boards have a 3-year warranty.
